Design tips

*Note
Considering that Print.bg does not offer editorial and proofreading services, it does not bear responsibility for designs and texts submitted with spelling and punctuation errors. The customer is responsible for checking and approving files and texts before printing and assumes full responsibility for any errors.

1. Design Review – before you attach and send the file for printing, please make sure that every element is in its place, grouped with other elements, and has the correct color, to avoid errors. The sizing (actual size of the image or combination of text and illustration) can be checked in Options or Properties of the program you are using, and it is essential that every design is at the actual size according to the selected size on the website. However, the files go through a prepress team, who, if an error is found, may note it and contact you for its correction.

2. Bleeds and Outlines – a bleed is an extension of color or image by at least 2 mm on each side (can be 1, 2, 3, or 4 sides), serving to prevent a white contour from appearing in the printed product (show-through) during the cutting of the prints.

3. Image Quality (Resolution) – for printing, resolution matters, as a different color model is used (CMYK, not RGB!), designed exclusively for printing. The required resolution for a non-pixelated quality print is 300 dpi. Please review your file again and note that, depending on the sizing, the resolution changes.

4. Print Files – it is recommended to send files in PDF format for easier processing and printing on our machines. If you use vector or raster programs, you can export the entire file in PDF format or PNG if they are images. The standard file formats can be .TIF, .JPG, .PS, .EPS, or .PSD. A ready-to-print template is also a convenient option for ease. These are the optimal formats that preserve the elements and quality of images or entire projects.
